Silver, honey, sugar or sump oil – making sense of dressings for wound management.

The aim of this lecture is to review wound dressing properties and to illustrate the clinical application of dressings for the purpose of facilitating wound healing.  Common and exotic dressings will be discussed. Case examples will be used to highlight the essential contribution of early wound management for wound healing.
