A capsule sized device containing 4 cameras, onboard memory storage, light & power sources is swallowed by the patient. The device then captures 1000s of 360° images as it passes through the alimentary canal. Dogs can be imaged in the clinic or at home with no restriction of movement.

Board certified internal medicine specialists review the images & report back with findings & treatment recommendations.

  • Monitor Practice Performance and Increase Profits

09 Nov 2016 by: Bryan Williams

SPVS’ recent Profitability Survey reinforces the concerns felt by most practice owners and managers – inadequate profits!

One practice has found a way to successfully solve the problem.  Simon Robinson, owner of Strathmore Veterinary Clinic in Andover faced some serious challenges.  For the last three years, revenues were static and profitability was lower than comparable practices.  He discovered Sparkline Scorecards and used them to improve net profit from 13% to 23%.  He says:

“Sparkline was installed in our clinic in January 2016 and since then, we have seen a 14%increase in turnover without increasing staff numbers so that has had a direct impact on our bottom line”.

Simon stated “….   Sparkline has given us much greater control.  Data is updated automatically and I can't wait until the 6th of each month to review the figures and see how we stand. Now, we know exactly where we are going and the steps we need to take to improve.”

“What's particularly pleasing is that our average transaction fee has a 15% increase and new client conversion and return consultations are showing an 8% improvement.  We have also generated over £20,000 more from dental treatments this year”.

The companion animal stream will again be programmed by Jill Maddison from the RVC. Each year the country’s leading speakers educate on the conditions affecting your practice.

Programmed by the RVC Equine and the BVA in partnership with BEVA, enables the mixed practitioner to learn new skills and knowledge to take back to their practice and use in their day to day work.

The BVA farm stream is aimed at the general practitioner, particularly those in mixed practice who may not be treating farm animals exclusively.

The business programme brings together the leading thinkers in the industry to discuss the processes, models and principles that can take your practice to the next level.

BVA Congress

Proud to host: BVA Congress is the major event in the veterinary political calendar bringing veterinary surgeons together to debate and discuss the hot topics of the day.
