An overview of the biological behaviour and approach to diagnostics for mast cell tumours will be given. The role of surgery, radiation and chemotherapy, including tyrosine kinase inhibitors, in the treatment of mast cell tumours and how stage and grade influence clinical decisions will be discussed.
